Breckernidge is hot

I talked with Pat Campbell who is the COO of the Breckernidge Ski area last Thursday. She told me that Breckenridge is the top performer for all the Vail Resorts this year. Even though Vail is over twice the size and Beaver Creek is much more posh, Breckenridge is leading all 5 resorts in skier days and profit.

Breckenridge went over the 200 inch mark yesterday 03/08/2010 for total snow accumulation for the winter of 2009/2010. We have received over 14 inches in the last week with snow expected all week.

Freeskier Magazine Best Of 2010

The Park and Pipe on Peak Eight have been voted #1 in the world by Freeskier Magazine "Best Of" for 2010. Breckenridge was also voted #3 in the Freeskier Magazine best of issue for overall resort. Breckenridge tied with Jackson Hole Wyoming for the #3 spot, Whistler B.C. was # 1, Mamoth Mountain California was #2.

We have had a new record for the highest sale in Breckenridge and Summit County for a single family home. The home closed on December 23rd for a record price of $8,285,000.00. The property was listed by one of my fellow agents here at Breckenridge Assocaites Real Estate and was a ski in/out home in Timber Trail Subdivision adjacent to Trygve's Run on Peak 8. This sale increased the highest price for a single family home by almost $3,000,000.00 over the previous sale. Breckenridge Associates has had the listing side on the last 4 highest sales in Summit County dating back to 2003.
